Nuisance when that happens. Did you happen to keep the aup file and thus can rederive the mp3 without doing a complete re-record?jenno wrote: ↑February 5th, 2023, 11:19 pm here is chapter 27

The "aup3" file is the one that Audacity creates as we record. I always save that one and work on that, including any later corrections that are needed. I only export to the mp3 file at the end and never edit it.
I look forward to hearing your voice tomorrow.

Thanks. It will take a little while to do the PL—a funeral that I'm playing for, a cyclone that's taken the power out and wrecked all the roads accessing our house, a bad cold, and completing planning for a new concert programme for our local rest homes and retirement villages are all getting in the way right now. Oh, and my employer seems to think I should do something in recompense for the "generous salary" they pay me.ChuckSTL wrote: ↑February 13th, 2023, 3:34 pm Section 60 uploaded. Time: 13:32

Yeah, but seriously: that's getting into Biblical trials territory. Please take care of yourself and I hope to see you back here soon. What instrument do you play? In my feckless youth, I played several instruments, all very badly. But at least I learned to read music, so there's that.

In "297—Cuzzoni—Bordoni" the text refers to Faustina as "Bordoni" in the title (at 4:42) but "Bordini" in the text (at 5:07). I checked Dr. Google and confirmed that "Bordoni" is the correct last name. I just blithely recorded what was in the text and missed the typo. I assume that I should go back and change the name to "Bordoni" at 5:07, but I wanted to check first since I wasn't sure what the policy was for typos in the text.ChuckSTL wrote: ↑February 13th, 2023, 3:34 pm Section 60 uploaded. Fortunately, he only uses here last name that one time; for the rest of the anecdote she's just "Faustina."

ChuckSTL wrote: ↑February 15th, 2023, 5:12 pmBordoni is indeed the correct name. I see that in the Wikisource copy I kept the spelling given in the text, which is in accordance with the rules there. Here there's a bit more latitude around correcting obvious typos. We can't replace a word we don't like with a synonym, but something like Bordini/Bordoni is fine.Beeswaxcandle wrote: ↑February 13th, 2023, 11:05 pmI'm going to have to re-do this, but I need a bit of guidance first. Hello- I am really sorry to say that I have been trying to work on this and continue to have problems with my microphone. It is not something that I am going to be able to address soon and I don't want to hold up the project. Can someone else take this section? Thanks!
