Why We Love Music, by Carl Emil Seashore (1866 - 1949)

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/why-we-love-music-by-carl-emil-seashore/

This is an abandoned solo project, brought back to delight the world as a group project!
Psychologists have not explained why we love music. A technical psychologist indulges in generalizations and predictions in a practical and popular vein. He attempts to interpret and evaluate present tendencies of music to stimulate questioning various interests in the field. His aim was to tease out those elements in the musical situation which help to make music function in our lives and be appreciated. - Summary by realisticspeakers

Hi Ann,
I’d like to take chapter 2. Are we to do the Thought Review section and footnote(s) as well? Thanks!

Hi!

May I read Section 2? I assume we are to read the statements at the end, too?

Thanks.

Chapter 2 is yours, thank you!

I knew I was forgetting to do something! The soloist who started this project did not read the Review or the footnote sections. I need to put a note in the first post to reflect that, thank you for reminding me!

Hi De Anna!

Section 2 was claimed in the post before yours, would you like a different one? And, no, we are not going to include the statements at the end. I need to put that note on the first post, which will be done shortly!

May I read Ch. 6? "Musical Inheritance"

I understand the review notes at the end are not part of the text for recording purposes.
