yep checked it out, he probably took Vera on an IOU Still, it was Rostov, so he is probably hoping that Natasha at least marries rich. Not sure how rich Andrew really is, but they seem well-to-do at least.

and PL ok. I like the story of the Rostov's, they seem to be the central family about who the story revolves. Not sure Nicholas is able to get them out of debt though.
well in this last chapter I was really losing patience with Natasha, she behaves like such a spoilt child. I wonder what Andrew sees in her. And I wonder whether Tolstoy wanted show her in a positive light that way, but it totally backfired with me. She is not an agreeable person the way she behaves. Well, maybe she is maturing after marriage.

Both chapters PL ok, thanks
Sonia
It’s easy to forget she’s just 16 and has been raised in a pampered, cloistered environment surrounded by, basically, slaves. I think Andrew is attracted by her naïveté and childish devotion to him, which will prove to be a pain in his ass if the do in fact marry.
soap opera indeed now the countess is really unhappy with Sonya and Nicolas, oh she can be mean... I liked the chapter with the mummery very much, quite a vivid description of private amusements back in the day.
sections 75, 76 and 77 are PL ok.
small edit for section 74:
> at 14:46: "behind him the others moved noisily" - you say "noiselessly" which is just the opposite. I cannot imagine that party being noiseless

yes some Russian names can be tricky. I thought I understood "vrazhek", as something to do with "enemies", but found out that it's a similar word meaning "small ravine" and Sivka is a river in that Moscow area, here you can see some pictures: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sivtsev_Vrazhek_Lane
I start to like Pierre better. And I pity Mary more and more...maybe those two would have been better suited for each other, to get her away from her impossible father.
All three chapters PL ok, thanks, and have a good weekend
