Brother Robert, wrestling with a conscience that would have him be good, rather than obedient.

I'm open to constructive criticism, interpretation or stage direction. I'd like to make sure it sounds right to you.

Also PL ok. It's so interesting to me that we have so many of these little one- or two-liners. Thanks again for jumping in!

I have no criticism to make, but just applause! I love your interpretation, especially when he begins to doubt whether he has indeed done right. What a powerful ending to part 1! And I'm just now realizing that we never get to hear the conclusion to his story. Is he released from prison? And more importantly, are his doubts ever resolved? :hmm: Maybe this is why (as George MacDonald says elsewhere) stories won't end.

Definitely PL ok!

Here is Nurse, part 2

Hey, Devorah - let me know if you'd like me to redo any of the lines for whatever reason at all, including cadence or feel. :)

Here's the angel:

May I read the 4th Monk as well? If so, what do you want done with the chorus? Do you have a tune in mind? I enjoy singing in LibriVox audiobooks, but I've never attempted it with more than two people, and this chorus calls for all four monks. Even if we chant the song, I don't know how we'll speak in the same rhythm unless one person records first and everyone else listens to their recording as they record. I am quite willing to abide by your wishes as BC, Devorah!

Thank you! Yes, I've put you in as 4th Monk. It will be easiest to chant the chorus. Since this is a rather jovial drinking song, it need not be a slow and ponderous chant, though. Don't worry about trying to time it just right, either. There are ways to speed up/slow down clips to get them where they need to be, so I'll handle all of that in editing.

(Fun fact: I once tried very hard to match my speech to someone else that I was supposed to be in unison with so that this wouldn't have to be done in editing. I listened to them through headphones while I recorded, and I was shocked to realize that doing it this way actually made it sound worse! To my ear, anyway. )

No need to redo anything. You make the nurse sound very sweet and kind. :9: Definitely PL ok!
