If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Thanks for agreeing to MC Amy.

I'll be away for a few weeks vacation.

The first section for this project will appear within 1 month from today and then more frequently after that.

Okay. I'll move you to Going Solo. We can wait for a proof listener over there since it will be a while until you start it.
Have a nice vacation!

Hi Amy

🦇 The Holiday got extended to a Month of evading the Canadian Winter.

🧛 There are 8 sections in Guide for the Perplexed Part II waiting for me (sounds like a lot but many of them are only 5-10 minutes) then it will be on to this project.

🧟 Likely 2-3 weeks.

Hi Amy

Some of these chapters are going to be short. REALLY short. Like 3 minutes long short.

For this project on the Introduction could I just say this Introduction and all 54 Chapters are all in the public domain and then forgo having to say "This librivox recording is in the public domain" for the other 54 Chapters?

e.g. just say Chapter 7 and start reading.

If its a big hassle or research project to figure this out don't stress about it. Just wondering if you know off the top of your head.

Hi Geo,
No, we are supposed say it for each section even if they are short. Poems are really short a lot of the time and we say it for them, too.
I know what you mean though for sure. It would be nice not to have to.
Have a good day!

🧛 No problemo.

Does the Author and book title need to be mentioned at the start of every chapter?

e.g. the intro recorded for Chapter 11: "Chapter 11. This Librivox recording is in the public domain."

Have a good Weekend! 🦇

Hi Geo,
Yes, tehy do. The script for the subsequent chapters should be like this:
"Section/Chapter# of Book, by Author. This LibriVox recording is in the public domain"
I'll update that on your first post.

This is how it should be"

For the first section, say:
"Section (or Chapter) # of Introduction to The Guide for the Perplexed Part III. This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information or to volunteer, please visit librivox.org." [Optional: "Read by your name."] "Introduction to The Guide for the Perplexed Part III by Moses Maimonides. Translated by Michael Friedländer. Section Title."

For the second and subsequent sections, you may use the shortened intro if you wish:
"Chapter/Section of Introduction to The Guide for the Perplexed Part III by Moses Maimonides. Translated by Michael Friedländer. This LibriVox recording is in the Public Domain. Introduction."

Have a great weekend!

Hi Geoffrey,
Since a proof listener hasn't come along, please advertise for one. Here is the information on how to do that if you haven't before.

Thanks,
Amy
