Unsure how create covers and thumbnails (Help)
I am new and I will like to help create covers and thumbnails. I have no idea where to start. I have read over the Covers Needed but it got confusing for me. I would like to be able to find a book and create an image cover for it. Could someone help me out.

I think if you follow the steps one by one you'll succeed, rather than read the whole of it and try to make sense of it in one go.
If you have specific questions about what confuses you in the process, you can ask in the cover makers chat thread here: viewtopic.php?t=64062
You'll need:
an image editing software, like Gimp or Photoshop
a text editing software, like OpenOffice or MS Word
a way to create pdf files ( usually an option like "print to PDF", or "export to PDF" from your text editor)
and a way to compress files into a zip folder for uploading.
Happy creating!

I'm not sure it it'd help or be more confusing, but we had a Zoom meeting in which was demonstrated how one person made covers using GIMP.

That segment is about 40 minutes long (as there's bits of chit-chat and side topics in it).
It's definitely to be viewed side by side with the step by step instructions.
