To the Lighthouse, by Virginia Woolf (1882 - 1941)

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/to-the-lighthouse-version-3-by-virginia-woolf/

In three parts, this modern classic explores the life of an English family, the Ramsays, at their Scottish summer house both before and after The Great War. Difficult to categorize and including elements of feminist and psychological literature as well as stream of consciousness, Woolf's novel reads, at times, almost like a prose poem. At its heart, it examines what it means to be a woman and an artist at the start of the 20th century. (Summary by WendyKatzHiller)
Source text (please read only from this text!): https://www.fadedpage.com/showbook.php?pid=20190356

Target completion date: 2023-05-16

Prooflistening level: Standard
Prospective PLs, please see the Guide for Proof-listeners.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I'm full on MC projects, but posting to say that sometimes PG Australia can be questionable as a source. They don't guarantee the edition of the text they use, so they could have used a later, still-copyrighted edition.

This text is clearly the 1927 one: https://www.fadedpage.com/showbook.php?pid=20190356

It's better to use. :)
