The Golden Bough. Part V. The Spirits Of The Corn And Of The Wild. Volume 1., by James Frazer (1854 - 1941)
The seventh volume in The Golden Bough series by Sir James George Frazer. The figure of the dying and reviving god in Oriental religions of Classical antiquity is returned to, and compared with the systems of belief in Europe. Religious rituals of agriculture, seasonal changes, singing prayers, incarnations of harvest crops as animals and sacrifices are compared between different cultures.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Hi Leonard,
I'll MC this for you. You are the narrator, not the translator so I removed the translator note from your script.
Cheers!

I will claim Section 1 for PL, also, but it may take me some time--a day or two. Listening with such attention over an hour's length is getting a little harder for me these days.

i know what you mean. I used to have a regular long commute that allowed me to get through proof listening on a good schedule, now I can only fit in a few minutes at most a day

Sections 4 & 5 are PL OK.

Amy - the link from the PL view tab on my reader page does not seem to point to this topic because whenever I try to access it, I'm told I don't have access. I'm not sure if it matters, because I can use my bookmarks and the PL View tab shows the correct info about sections in need of PL, but it's just odd to me.

Hi Kristin,
I found the problem. Let me know if you don't see it now.
Thanks,
Amy

Section 6 is PL OK.

Section 7 has a PL note that could be just my ears. At :41 I heard "countries" where the text reads "counties"
