And here's my rendition of
19 Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther 976 Words

In the Kevin Costner movie of *The Untouchables*, Sean Connery as one of Ness' men, threatens a bad guy: "We'll hang you higher than Haman!" That line has always fascinated me. Only the slightest allusion to the hanging here....

How did it get so late so soon?
It’s night before it’s afternoon.
December is here before it’s June.
My goodness how the time has flewn.

Section 19 is pl ok. Thanks, Bill. I've heard the line, too, but didn't know it from the movie; I think it's more widespread than that.

Here's a procedural question.
I have noticed some inaccuracies, such as chapter and verse numbers, and I tried to correct them by referring to a Bible.
But this question is extra-biblical. Who are the scholars Tidwell refers to as if his readers should know who they are? I don't find any footnotes, works cited, or acknowledgements in the Gutenberg text.
Specifically, the last line in the section on Luke reads: Mr. Stroud estimates that 59 percent of Luke is peculiar to himself and Mr. Weiss figures that 541 have no incidences in the other gospels.
Who is Mr. Weiss? and the 541 makes no sense. Is there supposed to be a percentage there? That would fit the context, if it said 54%
Inquiring minds want to know.

Just did a Google search, and I find a Dr. Kenneth Wuest, a prolific Greek NT scholar. So now i'm wondering if the sentence should read, Dr. Wuest estimates....541 *words* have no incidences in other gospels.?

Hi, Bill
We have noted errors in Tidwell's other book The Bible Period by Period, as well. These appear to be errors in the printed book, but it is hard to tell because I can find no actual scan. Archive's listing links to this Gutenberg text. It is too much to try to check all of the references, so it is best to stick to the text as we have it, unless there is something glaring that is easy to fix.
I'm not familiar with the scholars to whom he refers. So far I have found nothing on Mr. Stroud. Weiss must likely refers to Bernard Weiss. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernhard_Weiss His dates line up with Tidwell, but they do not for Kenneth Wuest, pronounced "weest," whose works appeared in the 40s long after Tidwell's books were published. His works are still extensively used in seminaries. I was more familiar with Bruce Metzger and F.F. Bruce. Apparently Weiss did his own translation of Luke and contributed the the Nestle Greek NT which was long the standard Greek version of the NT. Newer scholarship has given more accurate Greek texts.
The last number, 541, probably refers to words. Not the best writing here. So, probably best just to read all of this as written.
