The preface is up - nice and relatively short. Meant to post it yesterday evening but forgot. :(

Going to start editing chapter 1 tomorrow. I enjoyed reading it and getting to know "unimportant" little things from the man's life. Really adds an extra touch of humanity.

Thanks,

M

Here is chapter 2 and we are off to Arizona.

Finished editing this yesterday and shut down my computer before uploading it. Sorry it took so long. I off to visit my father (to freeze in Iowa) for a week for his birthday so probably won't get much editing done. No need to rush with the PL.

Thanks,

Iowa has really been struck hard this winter, I believe. Stay warm. (Or try!)

Kevin - thanks for being patient with me. I have finished chapter 3.

I am leaving for another trip next week and not returning until mid-July. After that I should be able to progress a little quicker through this book. I might have to split some of the chapters later on as there are some lengthy ones.

No rush on the PL for this.

Thanks,

M

Enjoy your trip! I'll be about when you return.

My family lived at Fort Leavenworth decades ago when my father was at the Army Command and Staff College.

I bet his Leavenworth doesn't look anything like when you were growing up there.

I really, really wanted to keep my "jackalope" comment in here but thought you might reject it. :)

Thanks,

M
