L'Atlàntida, by Jacint Verdaguer i Santaló (1845 - 1902)

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/l-atlantida-by-jacint-verdaguer-i-santalo/
// "Atlantis" is an epic poem that at the time was considered the culmination of the recovery of the Catalan language as a literary language. It follows the story of a Genoese sailor who survives a shipwreck and begins to collect ancient stories from sailors, from the old myth of Heracles in the burning Pyrenees, through the continent of Atlantis and its sinking, to the creation of the Mediterranean Sea and its cultures. IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Hi Joan,

Please double-check your link. I don't think you'll want to read from this source. :)

Quite.

Now it is the right one. Not that the person who entered the data was paying a lot of attention. Language :German  But the book is the right one.

Best,

Ok, the MW is up. I've shortened the filename slightly. Not sure why the system didn't recognize the article in the title as such.

Dear Michael,

One thing is incorrect, probably my fault for not having quite got the jist of how to set up solo projects in which I do just the admin and others do the reading and prooflistening.

Anyway: I am not the reader of this project. The reader is user "cordajungfrau", to appear also like this in the credits.

Best,

Ok, I've reassigned the sections. Btw, the BC can also do that.

Hi Corda,

Great to see this project off to a quick start! I'll move the thread to the forum Going Solo, and if no DPL volunteers by the time another section is up, we can post an ad in Proof Listeners or Editors Wanted.

When it comes to DPL, the BC accepts and the MC assigns. :)

Great! You now have access to the Magic Window. Before you can log in to a MW for the first time, you will need to set up a password for accessing the workflow system, as described here:

How to log in to the workflow system for the first time

If you need a refresher on PLing, there's a link to the PL guide above the Magic Window. As DPL, you'll be updating the status to "See PL Notes" or "PL OK", as appropriate. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi, Michael and Joan,
Thanks for your confidence. I’ve done as indicated and am ready to begin DPLing ‘L’Atlàntida’, which I’ll do in the next hours.

Hi, Corda,
Congratulations for your work. It's really impressive  . Just a couple of suggestions which could be useful for the next chapters also:
. Applying noise reduction
. Considering the possibility of changing the pronunciation of the pronoun 'lo' to 'lu' in order to help you to make an even more coherent and integrated reading.
I guess it wouldn't mean a great effort to you...
Greetings,
llunaemporda
