There's mention of Japan thinking of going to war with the U.S. And this book came out back in 1917!

I'm not surprised! Everything that happened in WWII was not spontaneous. I have a feeling that Japan was grumbling a lot before this story takes place.

Merry Christmas to you! Dinner has been demolished and cleaned up, so now I can sit. I hope your Christmas was a good one! Nice to hear the F is doing better, and yes, it does take a long time to heal from what she's going through. I hope she can get back to a more normal life soon.
