Hello, just wondering in case, in the future, one day.....
Do you also welcome solos read in English by non natives - clearly read, but with some words pronounced incorrectly? Or should I always stick to contributing sections to other BC's projects?
Thank you
Solos and mother tongue
Based on what I've seen so far, they totally do welcome them.
In fact, as long as you keep the technical specs and there is nothing like loud background noise in your recording, you should have zero problems even with a clearly foreign-accented recording or whole solo.
But you can keep from mispronouncing words by e.g. using forvo.com (ever-growing collection of pronunciations by native speakers upon the request of other users - they've been going since the 2000s and a whoooole lot of words and names are included already).

"You're on Librivox? Pffft. You just like to hear yourself talk."
"Yuuuup."
"Yuuuup."
You may record in any language you're comfortable recording in.
We do have the requirement for non-native recordings to be "understandable by a native speaker".
So, if pronunciation or intonation are a bit off, or you have an accent, in general that's fine for us.
Record away!
