Horrified by the casualties in Itaewon last week!
[Complete] U.S. Marine Operations in Korea, 1950-1953, Volume 2 The Inchon-Seoul Operation by Lynn Montross - m8b1
Yes, that was terrible. I walked that same ground many times when I was stationed there.

I've seen photos of the area around Old Seoul Station -- still standing tall, but nothing except flattened rubble around it. Now it is a museum, dwarfed by the New Station and other buildings and flyway roads.
Just two more sections to go!!

PL OK, as always -- an indication of the many hours preparing the final output above!aeb2468 wrote: ↑November 16th, 2022, 8:01 am https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/marineskorea2_28_montross_128kb.mp3 (22:13)

Those metrics tell a lot! New soloist need to know this. That's rough 5 and half hours for every 1 hour of finished recording.
Anyway, it has again been a pleasure to listen along and learn so much about this important part of history. I'll be here for any future recording that you might want to do.
With the rockets and ICBMs flying, and the threats being yelled louder, let's pray that the freedom so costly bought can be maintained without more fighting and bloodshed.
Uri nara mansei!

Hello, I am Eunah Choi from South Korea.
I have already downloaded the completed audiobook which Aaron took pains to record for the whole world to listen to.
Thank you to all the people who were involved in producing this recording.
I browsed this forum and found out that Aaron will start recording the third volume of this book. I hope that Aaron can successfully complete the journey of recording the third volume.
I feel so blessed to be born in South Korea. To all the Peace Corps volunteers and Korean War veterans, I would like to say, 감사합니다(Thank you).
I would like to quote the last two lines of William Blake's poem "And Did Those Feet in Ancient Time":
"Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land."
I want to paraphrase those lines as "Let's build Jerusalem for all of us living on this planet earth."
Thank you again for producing this audiobook.
I have bookmarked Aaron's "U. S. Marine Operations in Korea, 1950-1953" Volume III" topic.
Stay healthy and safe, everyone.
Sincerely,
Eunah Choi from South Korea
