Hi! I'm Shannon and really look forward to working with the various projects you have to offer. It sounds like fun. I enjoy reading to grade school children. What a wondeful vehicle you have to share all these books with everyone. It's a great place to come to if you can't get to a library or can't afford to go to a book store. We're just coming out of snow storm in St Paul MN & we had lots of time to read! I'd like do some recording as soon as I can. Thanks for the opportunity to volunteer!

Welcome to LibriVox, Shannon!

Lots of time to read because of snow...? Geez, I haven't seen snow in 22 years. On one level I kind of miss it; on another I'm happy to not have to deal with it.

Come on over to the Readers Wanted: Short Works thread and pick out something like the Weekly Poetry piece on which to cut your LibriVox teeth. It's a lot easier to start with something short before getting into the longer and more challenging works.

It's great to have you here, Shannon - always nice to hear a fresh voice in the mix!
