Section 1, chapter 1-3 are yours.
Welcome to Librivox, I hope you'll enjoy here.
Thank you for joining this project.

Hi mos, and welcome. If this is your first recording for LibriVox, you might like to submit a 3 or 4 minute sample of the beginning of your section to make sure the technical issues are all ironed out. :)

Just post it to this thread, and I'll have a listen. When you reply, please tell me the name you wish to use for catalog credit and your URL, if any.

Anna, thank you for Chapter 21, it was beautifully read. I especially enjoyed the beginning where Ralph waits for Undine's letters. Wharton is superb.

I've finished reading and cleaning chapter 1 using Audacity, but can't figure out how to save as an MP3-- is there a link?
Thanks,
Andrea

Yes, that isn't worded well in Audacity - "Save" only gets you a .wav file, I think. You have to "export" to get an .mp3! Thank you for the section - I'll be listening soon!

Hi Andrea - I'm delighted with you chapter! One suggestion, though - could you try increasing the volume a bit? It needs to be louder to match with other submissions, so the reader doesn't have to keep adjusting! Great work - I'm looking forward to your remaining files.

What a wonderful project, I would love to take part.

I'll try my hand at chapter six if it's still available, and then if I do okay, maybe a few more chapters as well!

Cheers,

Kimberley

Hi Kimberley, welcome to LibriVox! Section 6 has been assigned to you. Unless you have previous recording experience, you might like to submit a 3 or 4 minute sample of the beginning of your section to make sure the technical issues are all ironed out. :)

Just post it to this thread, and I'll have a listen. When you reply, please tell me the name you wish to use for catalog credit and your URL, if any.
