George Sand, by Bertha Thomas (1845 - 1918)

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/george-sand-by-bertha-thomas/

A Victorian Novelist herself, Bertha Thomas presents a biography of the Life of George Sand (Summary by Christine Rottger)
Source text (please read only from this text!): https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/28209

Target completion date: 2023-08-20

Prooflistening level: Standard
Prospective PLs, please see the Guide for Proof-listeners.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Should be fixed now. Here is a learning moment for me. Am I supposed to put the [SOLO/BIOGRAPHY] before the book name? If so, how do I do that?

It makes it easier if you do that, so that an MC can see at a glance what the project is about and decide if they would like to pick up the project. You don't need to do it now that I have picked up the project, but you can put [SOLO/BIOGRAPHY], or whatever is suitable to the project, into the subject line when you make the new post. Or, if you forgot to do it to begin with and would like to add it now, you would click on the square with the pencil on the right side of the post. That is the edit button, and you can make changes as you need to.

Another question, do you have a DPL in mind, or do I need to add a ~ to the subject line?

I need to find a DPL so you can add the symbol. Thanks!

I can DPL.
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.

Section 0 is PL OK! I'll do my best to finish section 1 as soon as I can, but I have a lot going on tomorrow, so it might be Sunday before I'm done.
