More Australian Legendary Tales, by K. Langloh Parker (1856 - 1940)

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/more-australian-legendary-tales-by-k-langloh-parker/
The present series of legends have all been collected by myself from the Blacks, as were the previous ones. But in this instance I had much help given to me by friends, who either told or sent me scraps of legends they themselves had seen or heard. On receiving any such I immediately made inquiries amongst the Blacks, and I was often enabled to complete the scraps, gaining through their hints a whole legend. (Summary by the author)

I love legends! Are you looking for a DPL? If so, I'd like to volunteer.

That would be great. Many of the names will have no "look up" pronunciation - it was not a written language and so she has written them in ways which seemed to her to best mimic the storyteller's so people will just need to sound them out - there will not be a "right" or "wrong" way.

I'd be happy to pick-up some of this. Let me start with the Preface/Intro and the Glossary.

All yours, the glossary may prove a bit hard, we can only do our best with the way words are written. Which is after all exactly what she did. :hmm:

Could I read section 7 How the sun was made?

It's nice to have more Australian legends in the catalog, I just hope I won't butcher the names...
