As stated above. I would like to find out if, for example, any of these H.G. Wells stories are available in archives

I can see (as an unpaid member) that the newspapers exist for the dates in question, but all I'm getting back from my search are advertisement pages, no indication that the story pages are actually available. Before I pay for a subscription, I'd like to 1. ensure the files actually exist, and 2. find out if someone might be willing to pull them for me :)

If anyone can help, these are the articles I'm searching for
"The Presence by the Fire" (Penny Illustrated Paper, 14 August 1897)
"The Thing in No. 7" (Pall Mall Gazette, 25 October 1894)
"The Thumbmark" (Pall Mall Gazette, 28 June 1894)
"Mr Marshall's Doppelganger" (Gentlewoman, 18 September 1897)

Yes, I have a subscription. Two of the stories are there:

"The Presence by the Fire" (Penny Illustrated Paper, 14 August 1897) - (page 4 of 16, printed page 100 )
"Mr Marshall's Doppelganger" (Gentlewoman, 18 September 1897) - (page 27 of 61, printed page 356)

and two are not so far as I can see:

The Pall Mall Gazette - both of the listed issues are available, but don't seem to have anything like those stories in them.

Happy to discuss by PM.

Michael
