Why not? It is in the public domain, is it not?
Hello Chuck of "Strength and How to Obtain It by Eugen Sandow" fame.
I am have almost completed the Reading of JSMill as a solo, with a world-class PL teaching me what I didn't know. 474,000 words, 290 footnotes, and a mid-course expansion from 70 to 94 sections (to comply with the unsupported idea of CD-length tracks), estimated audio time of 51 hours, and I am researching the business of "bibliographic references" which is how I tripped over your topic.
Did you ever get to work on The Intersexes? I am enjoying JSMill as a learning platform for me. It was an abandoned project (after only two sections), and I speak no Greek, so "bibliographic references" is just another hurdle.
I have two supporting documents:
http://www.chrisgreaves.com/Downloads/Chaptersize.pdf where I tried to lift my spirits late one night and
http://www.chrisgreaves.com/Downloads/Stats.xls whose sheet "NewSections" holds statistical data of progress. "Sections" is an abandoned early version of "New Sections")
Cheers
Chris
