Section 98 - The Versatility of the Elephant’s Trunk - PL OK, thanks.
Wow - an elephant that likes wine and is able to uncork the bottle herself. Another strange chapter in this strange book.

Section 10 is PL OK.
There is quite a distinct pop at ~0:31 in the word "Cambridge" - please try to be careful about things like this. If you are able to listen to yourself on headphones as you record, you'll be able to hear when this happens and immediately re-do the phrase or sentence. Then it's pretty easy to edit out the bad version.

I love these romantic stories where someone ends up getting eaten.
Ah! Missed one. Those pops are like playing whack-a-mole. I appreciate the feedback.

Apologies, forgot to put run times for Section 10 (01:45) and Section 98 (02:43)
Tia -
There is one problem with this section that should be fixed - the opening silence is about 1.1 seconds. It should be no longer than 1 second. Please edit about 1/2 second of the very start of this section and upload it again.

See PL notes for now. Thanks for including the section lengths.

Sorry, I am out of practice on forums and not sure how to do a reply. I think just ToniM will work. Thank you! 😁

Eli -
There is a missed edit at about 7:00 where you say
This opening and shut-- This opening and shutting
Generally, we don't read 'quote' and 'unquote' - but in this case there are huge sections that are quotes from a naturalist, so I guess that's OK in this instance.

Oops! Sorry - I've uploaded the corrected version:

The total time is now 8:55.

Yeah, normally the only times I do it are if the writer is using quotes in a way that affects the meaning (like sarcasm) - or if there's a long passage like this. He is so reverent of P.H. Gosse that I figured he would want it to be clear when it was or wasn't his words.

Now PL OK.
A strange critter indeed - it's earned a place in this book.
