Back for more!

If I might bite off a big chunk, perhaps to get things moving again, might I have chapters 10, 14 and 15?

That's what I get for trying to maintain two different copies of the list :)

Thanks!

I'll take a couple of chapters:

17 -- THE SAFETY-PIN AGAIN
18 -- THE COMMISSARY, THE VISCOUNT AND THE PERSIAN

By the way, is anyone else familiar with the musical adaptation of "Phantom" by Maury Yeston? Not only does it have some wonderful songs in it, but it also makes a great antidote to too much Andrew Lloyd Weber!

Well the French pronunciation would likely be "meefwa".

That's even slightly appropriate for the character!

Chapter 16 is done:

http://librivox.greenkri.com/marlodianne/ch16_phantom_leroux.mp3

This is the 3rd version. Audacity crashed on me *twice*, chucking the entire file both times! The software name is very apropos. :/

I think you can hear the frustration in this recording. :P I was also getting fatigued with the editing--it was nearly fully edited versions that were lost--so my breathing is in there too. Hopefully it sounds acceptable anyway. :)

Just for the record, I never edit out my breath sounds. I think it makes the reading sound more natural.

Just my 2?

But, Chip, my breathing *doesn't* sound natural; the asthma often makes it sound, well, scary. I don't think the wheezing is too bad on this one though, and, as I said, I was losing patience :P
