Papers 59, 60, 61 and 62 are PL OK! :)

Mark, I also am enjoying your commentary, as I have been enjoying your narration. Once the project is complete and catalogued, I'll be recommending to all my friends and relatives to give a listen to the recording, both for its content and for your reading.

Don, if they take you up on it, they'll be in for a couple dozen hours of extremely convoluted speechery. I'm not sure they would appreciate that!

Personally, the tendency of the authors to keep numbering their points, and also referring to latter and former arguments constantly, argues for reading, rather than listening to, the Papers. It's tough to keep track of just what is being referenced at the moment without being able to search the text.

The Senate has been continued, through its SIXTH desideratum (and I defy 90% of the public to know that word, and I question Madison's audience, too)! Proclaiming #63! :D

John Jay finally felt up to contributing... his rheumatizz had dealt him out of much of the effort. And he (briefly) returns for a subject on which he is the superior of the three: the Senate's power to make treaties with foreign nations. As one of the negotiators for the treaty ending the Revolutionary War, he had the inside track on what was necessary. :D

Well, Hamilton really got his grump on, at the end of #65! Yet, he had some pithy remarks about factions in the Senate rallying to destroy a man's reputation, or save it. :D

Hamilton sounds like he's getting riled by the arguments against the Constitution; he probably is. :D

Off we go, with another Hamiltonian rant, in #67! :D

And in #68, we must excuse him (and the Convention) for not guessing how powerful modern communication media have become in building celebrity. :D

Once again, Hamilton has recourse to the phrase, "all men of good sense will admit that..." But in this essay, he tells how invested in one's own opinions each man is. I suspect he would be offended if someone remarked to him on just that! Herewith is #70! :D

(There is a substantial selection that differed between editions; I narrated only the first.)

Today we have a double feature: #71 and #72! :D :D (And I daresay some of #72 will speak to the unpleasantness a year ago.)

Boy, have I been inattentive. :(

#70 is now corrected with the missing phrase.

#71 is now corrected with the missing outro.
