I was trying to find more information for the poet. Where did you get the dates? maybe there's more info there to include to his bio in our catalogue.
Hello! I found his dates of existence at this website: https://archives.uwaterloo.ca/index.php/sanborn-robert-alden
Sorry for the slip with _128, will be more mindful with future submissions!
Thank you,
Joanna

Thank you so much for your recording Stephanie!
Would you be available to change the intro and outro disclaimer? For the poetry collection, we are using an abbreviated disclaimer as:

"[Poem title], by [author], read for LibriVox dot org by [your name]" at the beginning. At the end: "End of poem. This recording is in the public domain." + five seconds of silence.

Thank you! The reading is great! However there are a couple of issues:
-The book you have chosen as text source was published in 1947, as far as I can tell. Maybe you can find this poem in a 1926 and earlier publication so that it's clearly in the public domain?
-The bit rate should be 128 kbps, constant. If you use Audacity, you can set this when exporting.

Let's do something unusual and contribute a poem :D

I've recently heard this one set to music, so I thought I'd read it. It certainly sounds suitably doomy for today's world...

[God lay dead in heaven] by Stephen Crane (1871–1900) (I used an incipit following this Wikipedia article, because the source text only uses numerals to mark particular pieces. Tell me if I need to change it to something else.

Wow, I agree, suitably doomy!

The title works well, and I added the numeral in the MW, to include that as well.
Thank you for the links!
