Hello LCaulkins,

Thank you for the speedy reply! I saw the dramatic works section but yours stood out a little louder to me so I thought I would make my first foray into Librivox the polish folk story :)

You can use my name here, I guess! 'Dantaleon' would otherwise not get used!

Sincerely
Dantaleon

Hi, Paula :)

Thank you so much! Would you mind telling me the name of your story? There is more than one story on that table of contents that could fit this.

Hi, Steve - welcome to LibriVox! Really glad to have you with us, and thank you for contributing to this project.

Since you're brand new, we will need to get your Catalog Reader Page generated. That is the name the public will see on the audibooks and in the Catalog. What name would you like on that? Some of us use our real name, some use our forum working name (the one you posted under), and some folks make a new nickname. Just let me know what you want us to use for your page.

----

I'm loading your stories into the MW (Magic Window) right now. I did run Checker on them, and all your technical specs are good. I'll actually listen to these in the morning, and at that time I'll check the introductions/endings, and listen for any problems within the readings. So that part of the PL process is not spotted for you yet.

You got the posting information almost 100% for these. :) (I love how easy you made it for me!) The only thing missing is the length of the files. No worries this time, but on your next LibriVox submission, just add the time of the recording in parentheses after the link, like: https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/mlaw012_TheRavenMyth_Judson_smk_128kb.mp3 (20:37)

Again, welcome to LibriVox :)

--- P.S. Wow, the pictures in that book are amazing

Hello :)

I'm sorry - my day exploded on me this morning. But I've listened to both of your stories now. These are beautifully recorded! As my first response said, in the post above this, the tech specs are perfect, so these recordings are PL OK.

One last note for your future recordings: Keep in mind that LibriVox has to use all lower case for file names. It takes a bit of getting used to, but will shortly become second nature for you. No need for you to change these file names, as there is no other editing needed on them. MaryAnn can fix the names when the project goes to catalog.

Do let me know what name you want us to use for your Reader Page (see note from yesterday), and I'll get these sections connected to you in the MW. :)

Hi Lynette,

For the time being at least, simply use "Steve Knox" for the Catalog Reader Page. I'm still considering a public
vs. real name/identity but it is not important at this time.

Sorry about the camelCase in the fileNames as that has been my standard for years in industry, I don't recall
seeing the all lower case restriction but I admit I may have missed that. Regardless, all future works will be
all lower case and will include the audio length of the file.

Cheers,
Steve
