We've got 4 pages still up for grabs. These are lovely llittle short bits that take just a moment or two to record.

> Current Image Quality
> Book Readers
> New Readers Possible
> Print on Demand

Any takers?

I'd like to get this book done by November 20, if possible. I don't want this key Open Library book to be without an audio component for too long!

I can whip out "New Readers Possible" and/or "Print On Demand" in a few moments, if you like... I've been holding back since I already did a page...

OK, Squid, you've got New Readers. Kayray, if you do Current Image Quality then that leaves only two pages unassigned. I will drum up some more voices.

OK, new readers, I know you're out there. I'm coming to find you ... :-)

If you get everything else done, then we might need to reallocate maintaining quality: Sureka has gone down with a throat infection and isn't likely to be reading anything out loud for quite a few days :( . I'll happily read it if we start doubling up.

Poor Sureka :( I tend toward sore throats too, so I really sympathize.

Kristen, currentimagequality.mp3 is here:

Kara, do you ever sleep? ;-) Thanks for the speedy recording.

Chris, please have Sureka try drinking pineapple juice--it's excellent for sore throats. I hope she feels better soon.

I'll do print on demand - it seems to be still available.

OK, here's maintaining quality... Sureka had enough voice to do a short reading...

At long last, the project is finished. Kara, can you please put this up where it belongs so that it gets linked to the OpenLibrary book?

http://www.mediatinker.com/librivox/openlibraryvision.mp3

I will recommend to all who need to put together a file from multiple sources:
  • - specify the format exactly. I did math (horrors!) to figure out how to adjust a 48000 KHz file to fit a 44100 KHz master. I converted about a third of the submissions into stereo files, too.

    - get good with the effects and editing. Amplify, speed and normalise all came into play. I'm not entirely happy with the results, but the final product is much more even than the files I started with.

Kristen, I emailed you -- there's a duplication in the file. I'm holding off on getting it catalogued until I hear from you.
