Part 8 is probably just fine. When I click on the link, it doesn't let me access the piece, unfortunately! Is there a workaround for how I can access it?

Nice job! There a couple of issues. First, the volume is much to low at 76.3 DB. A straight amplification should solve that issue. Also, the bit rate is 88kbps and variable - we need it to be 128 kbps and constant.
One last thing, the beginning silence is a about 1-1/2 seconds, we need it to be no more than 1 second. And the ending silence is 8 seconds - we need it to be 5 seconds. If you could cut those down a bit, that would be great!

Sure! Thanks for the feedback. I've corrected the silence at the beginning and end, but I'm not sure about how much to amplify the sound. How many DB should I be looking for?m8b1 wrote: ↑June 28th, 2021, 7:59 amThank you!skyewardeye wrote: ↑June 27th, 2021, 12:24 am Here is section 8:

Also, try as I might, I can't seem to find how to change the kbps and constancy of the track. Sorry to be a pain, but regardless of how much I google, I can't seem to find it. D:

Are you using Audacity? If so, here is a video on how to set/change the bit rate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2JWKadgtdEskyewardeye wrote: ↑June 29th, 2021, 10:50 pm

We aim for around 89 DB - and this file is at 76.3 DB. So around 13 DB amplification should do the trick!
We have lots of great info in our wiki that can help. Here is a link to a page listing a bunch of instructional videos our volunteers made! https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Instructional_Videos
Don't hesitate to ask if you need help!

Yes, I am using Audacity. I thought I'd mentioned that! Sorry. XDm8b1 wrote: ↑June 30th, 2021, 1:32 pmAre you using Audacity? If so, here is a video on how to set/change the bit rate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2JWKadgtdEskyewardeye wrote: ↑June 29th, 2021, 10:50 pm

Section 9 has been orphaned if anyone wants to claim it.
I do want to get this cataloged before the end of the month, so a quick turnaround is requested. Please only claim if you can submit it within that time frame.
