Here is ch. 2

Interesting chapter, I don't know if I would like bird nests in my house though. :hmm:
It was well read. Two minor problems though.
1. Please add about 0.5 seconds of silence at the start as there needs to be between 0.5 and 1 second of silence.
2. Please remove about 19 seconds of silence at the end so that it is around 5 seconds.

Thanks,

M

Thank you. That was a pretty easy fix ... another hiccup in my transition from recording and editing with Reaper on desktop to Auria on iPad (in this case, ripple editing behaves differently)

Oh, good.

Thank you for your interest in this project.
We do, however, request that our new readers first complete a one-minute test recording to check out all of your technical specifications and any reading issues.

New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!

Among the useful information there you will find instructions for completing your test recording. Once you have the "OK" on that, post again here and you are free to record for this project. Let us know how you would like to be credited in the LibriVox catalog - real name, pseudonym or other nickname.

These are my favorite kind of fixes along with deleting repeats. This section is definitely PL OK now.

Well read, and will be PL OK with a few easy corrections.

1. The filename should have a two digit number for the chapter: should be westernbirds_08_grinnell_128kb.mp3 not just "_8_".
2. Please delete about 3 seconds of silence from the start, it should be between 0.5 and 1 second in length.
3. ~2:51 you have "When the fish lies limp across his back", it should be "When the fish lies limp across his beak".

Please male these corrections and resubmit.

Thanks,

M

I see you have an "OK" on your test recording so you are welcome to record for this project.
I do need to know, however, exactly how you would like to be listed in the LiibrVox catalog -- real name, pseudonym or any nickname you wish. This is how you will be credited for all of your LV work.

Also, it is a lot easier for us if you include the Section number from the Magic Window when making a request.

Anyway, welcome aboard!
You have Section 22 to record.
