Brigham Young lines recorded and run through the checker, but they seem too loud to me. Can someone take a listen and see what (if anything) should be fixed?

Near the end of the last chapter, I've given two versions of his line here, one that starts with his laugh:
PeterSHERLOCK HOLMES: “Didn’t I tell you so when we started?”
DR. WATSON: cried Sherlock Holmes with a laugh.
Hi, Peter. That was awesome!
holmes_2_06 is PL OK.
In holmes_2_07 ~ there's a cough to edit.
Thank you!

I am not disappointed at all. This was a fascinating introduction to the process.Salvationist wrote: ↑May 2nd, 2021, 8:31 amThank you for being so interested in this project, Tad! Nonetheless, I am not willing to have people double up on roles for this project. I hope that doesn't disappoint you too much. I encourage you to sign up for a role in one of our other DRs; there are lots to choose from and plenty of parts available. If you'd like to participate in another murder mystery, you may wish to consider The Mystery of a Hansom Cab: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=85890TadDavis wrote: ↑May 2nd, 2021, 6:14 am I'd like to try my hand at something a little more challenging:
John Ferrier: Part 2, chapters 1, 3, and 4 (sections 41, 42, and 43)
I realize there's some overlap with Enoch Drebber in Section 43. That will mean being able to differentiate the voices. There's at least one point where one speaks right after the other, without attribution, and the listener needs to be able to immediately recognize who's who. I think I can do that, but I'll need to work on it a bit first. Subject to editorial approval as always, of course.

Concerning your comment on volume, in the first post there's a link to a wiki with the technical specifications. Please compare the required volume to your checker results and post on this thread to confirm that the volume is fine.
PL notes:
BrighamYoung _2_01 and _2_04 are fine but I'll PL OK them when I receive confirmation of the volume.
_2_03 We need a 3 to 5 second silence between lines. (From what I've heard, I would say that 4 to 5 seconds make things more comfortable for editors)
A longer silence is needed between:
the first line "Brother Ferrier" and the second "The true believers..." ;
at ~1:03, between "It is of that daughter that I would speak to you" and "She has grown...";
at ~1:13, between "... high in the land" and "There are stories...", and
at ~2:45, between "... she shall give her answer" and "It would be better for you..."
Thank you and have a great week.

Hi I am going to record my remaining sections but just at the moment I am just recovering from the flu and a chest infection so currently have a deep husky voice. As soon as it returns to normal I will begin recording again. Hope that is ok
