Thank you, Jonathan! Section 31 is PL OK. Audacity doesn't have a built-in effect for measuring volume, but there's an effect you can install, called ReplayGain. Thanks for response. I modified the audacity file to increase the db level by 4 which includes a clipping edit as well. I think it changed the quality of the sound a bit as it increased the volume. Also deleted 3 seconds at the end. In the future, I'll record at a higher volume and turn the mic away to deal with the popping. I'm wondering if Audacity has a function that shows the average volume level?
