(Complete) Coffee Break Collection #31 - SPRINGTIME - Lt
Autumn and Spring is PL OK. What a delightful story, Tally, and charmingly read! The Coffee Break Collections are very popular so a great many listeners will get to enjoy it. How about another?
Just a heads up, your volume checks out at 86.1 DB, just barely within LV range, which shoots for a median of 89DB. On future recordings you might bump your recording volume up just a wee bit. Also, I recommend you download our free Checker program, drag your files into it before uploading, and check on your parameters yourself. More on that here:

I had prepared this for a Love Story collection some time ago.
I did a little Tempo changing and it is now close to the 15-minute suggested length.

Hi Michele -
Here's one for this collection -
Uploader link: https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/cbc31_inspringtime_ps_128kb.mp3 1:48
Title: In Spring Time
Author: Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936)
Online text link: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/16578
I was curious about some of the words so I looked them up -
köil - Indian bell bird
siris - silk tree
satbhai - jungle babbler (another species of bird)
I have several other poems, but wondered if you'd rather have stories.

Springtime a la Carte is PL OK. Thank you. Dandelions are all over my yard right now. Wish I knew how to cook them.

A few poems in the collection is fine, but if you have stories I'd prefer those now. Speaking of poems, would you be willing to PL mine on Daffodils (in MW)?

Thanks, Michele.
I listened to daffodils. The poem is fine, but I noted these things in the excerpt -
@1:52 - "We fancied that the sea had floated the seeds ashore" I hear lake instead of sea.
@1:59 - "there were more and yet more" Yet is omitted
@2:34 - "This wind blew directly over the lake to them." The word The inserted for This.
@2:39 - "a few stragglers higher up" The words "a few yards" inserted between stragglers and higher.
@2:44 - "simplicity, unity, and life" of inserted before unity
All relatively minor and they don't change the meaning of the text.

Seamless edits, Michele, but now there's a repeat at 1:55 - "floated the seeds ashore". Clip that and you should be good to go.msfry wrote: ↑March 30th, 2021, 7:52 pm Daffodils with all changes made. Thanks, Fritz
