Hello and welcome to librivox! Glad to have you here :9:

Before you start recording, you will need to complete a one-minute test. No worries though, we all did it. It's in place to make sure we can get your technical specs correct. That way we don't run into a possible situation where a file is unusable  That would be no good! But, thanks to the one-minute test we can prevent that :D

We have a catalog, too, so what name would you prefer to credited as? I can create a reader page for you. The reader page will show you all the sections you've ever done in one nice and neat place.

With that all being said, I'll assign section 13 to you.

If you need any help along the way, just let me know. There's also plenty of volunteers who are also happy to help :9:

Thank you so much, hope to hear from you soon!

I've downloaded some sections to PL, since it looks like you need help PL'ing.

9, 15, 17, 29, 33. I don't know how quickly I'll finish them, but I'll be listening. :)

So sorry that I didn't get this in sooner - I've been on a job hunt and it's been rough.
Here's the link for my recording of Chapter 21! I signed up for Chapter 21, but it looks like I've been written in for Section 21 - I communicated with Elijah about it so they're aware. Can't wait to hear what ya think! :D

Great reading! All fine except for a simple edit is needed, I believe, at 10:28. It sounds like you made a correction but did not complete the edit.
Reader hasn't logged in since August. I've made the edit. It's now at about 10:23 (Persian king Shapur) because I also cut about 5 seconds of silence off the front of the recording.
New time: 37:58

Section 9 PL OK

Section 15: This is supposed to be chapter 13; you read chapter 15. We can keep it as an alternate version of chapter 15, but one edit to make:

0:57-ish: "We left the encampment...return to Mosul" repeated at 1:04
School fiction: David Blaize
America Exploration: The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart

Section 29:
I think it could use a bit of noise reduction
About 3.5 seconds of silence at the end; needs a total of 5.

I recorded the intro to chapter 11; that can be my 1 minute test. Now where do I go to share it? I don't see a part 2. Where does that start? It's all one chapter. Just give me a page number, and I'll get started once the 1 minute test is approved. I'm excited to read (and listen to) this book as I've visited the middle east and love reading about it!

Share your 1-minute test in this forum: viewforum.php?f=21 :)

The previous reader read to "sung their mountain songs as they walked along."

So part 2 would start at "As we drew near to the foot of the hills" around page 206.
