Thanks for claiming 50-51 audrey

Welcome to Librivox. I'm Craig Campbell, BC for this project.

I see this is your first post to the system.

We do like to have a one minute test completed so we can make sure you understand how to record using Audacity.

https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test

We also like to know what display name you would like to use and if you have a personal web cite you would like associated with your account.

This link will take you to information about Librivox.

Did we decide on DPL sharing? April and Becky or just one person.

I have encountered a glitch when trying to do any PL work. My new password gets me into the Dashboard however clicking on link ID generates either No Permission message OR click link to the forum page sends me but logs me out when I "arrive." I am listed as Reader only on Dashboard. Forum login recognizes only old password, not the new one.
Listened to Preface (altho it didn't allow copy mp3 access for checker or audacity) - beautiful recording PL OK however I cannot access/change the status of the section. Not a proper listen! :(
I don't think I ever really accessed the Magic Window. Unless you see a step I missed, I'll PM knotyouraveragejo.
Thanks.

Hi Becky :D

Did you get a new password to log in to the Magic Window?

I usually go to the bottom of the Magic Window for the project and click where it says BC Admin. It then asks for my user name and pass word and I get in.

Let me know if that works.

If not then you can pm knotyouraveragejo

Hi Craig! I've just listened to your reading of selection 2 and it's no surprise that it is beautifully read. I have one minor note to offer (but will certainly defer to your opinion on):

5:52-5:53 (page 4 of the text) reads "They never light BUT upon the branches" and the audio is heard as "They never light upon the branches" - I know this is technically a meaning change but it may not be significant enough to warrant making a change.

If you feel like it's fine the way it is, I'll go in and mark it PL OK.

I noticed you didn't include your name at the beginning or end of the reading... modesty or witness protection program?

Also, there is a solid chance I'm losing my mind: the Joseph Harris translation credit was new to me, but when I went back to the project details, I see that it's listed there. Do you need work that was submitted earlier to be updated with his name?

Thanks for the PL April :D

I have corrected my error:

https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/fablesofpilpay_02_anonymous_128kb.mp3

Time is now 9:24

I used my name when I began and even used the city I live in and state but decided not do that since my full name is associated with my productions.

Harris as translated was inadvertantly omitted when I began this project and the translator into arabic was the only translator listed - Harris translated it into English in the early 1600's.

So I added his name.
