Thanks for the PL notes. I've made the changes to Chapter 11 and uploaded via link below.

https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/marquisdevillemer_11_sand_128kb.mp3

db = 90.7 length 28.36

Regarding the plosive sounds, I've been grappling with them right along. I have a good mic/headphone( Logitech G35) and have adjusted the distance several times. Very frustrating. WIll try again with a hosiery filter.

Enjoy the weekend.

PL OK, thank you! I hope that the filter helps with the plosives - I can understand that it's frustrating to still encounter them after trying different approaches.
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.

Great, thanks! I guess I'll go with my real name (Sarah Rothwell). Sorry, didn't think you needed that info until I uploaded the file. As you noted, I'm new so still getting the hang of it all! :)

Hi -
I just uploaded Chapter 12 for your review. (Tried the recording with the "hosiery" filter - hope you find that to be better).

Thanks - please let me know of any changes.

Chapter 12 sounds great, and I can definitely tell a difference in terms of plosives! I have just a few notes:

- At 0:20, could you include "The Marquis de Villemer, by George Sand. Translated by Ralph Keeler" before "Chapter 12"?
- At 2:04, "good-nature or thoughtlessness," you say "good-nature of thoughtlessness."
- At 2:59, "the most ingenuous," you say "the most ingenious."
- At 9:49, "already shrewd," you say "always shrewd."
- Could you include the last two paragraphs, starting at "The Duke plunged deeply into these reflections..."?
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks, Lisa. After fixing chapter 12, would you like to continue with 13-15?

Time: 24.55 (just over)

Can I then volunteer for chapter 9?
Chapter 6 sounds great! I have just one note: at 10:15, "in a humiliating position," you say "in this humiliating position."

Hi there -
I've made the corrections (and addition of missing 2 paragraphs  ) to Chapter 12.

https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/marquisdevillemer_12_sand_128kb.mp3

New length 26:18 db= 90.9
Please let me know if PL OK.

I just printed Chapter 13 and will continue on with this. Busy month of March ahead, so hesitate to sign on for me just yet.

Thanks.

The corrections to the text are good to go, thank you! Just one thing about the intro - could it follow this template?:

"Chapter [number] of The Marquis de Villemer . This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org"
If you wish, say: "Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"
Say:
"The Marquis de Villemer , by George Sand . Translated by Ralph Keeler ( - 0) [Chapter]"

Thank you! Just one quick thing and then you'll be all set: could you edit out the silence at the very beginning so that there's between 0.5 and 1 second of silence?
