PL notes:

32 needs some noise reduction. It's got quite a bit of background noise. (I grabbed a noise sample from 8:18, and it seemed to work well.)

Thanks!

When chapter 8 ends, just pause a couple seconds and say "Chapter 9". Then at the very, very end just say "End of Chapter 9."

(If you're headed into chapter 9, it's assumed you've ended chapter 8.) ;)

Section 32 doesn't sound like you did noise removal. :hmm:

Section 33 - Needs amplifying. To get to ideal, it'd be about 3.5 dB, but it looks like you can only do about 2. Amplify as much as you can. :)

Track 33 (same length as before):
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/caxtons_33_bulwer-lytton_128kb.mp3
I amplified it by 2 decibels like you said, let me know if there's anything else I can do with it.
Track 34 (6:47):

I'd like to claim track 35, if possible.
I'm not sure what else I can do for Track 32, I already tried running noise reduction once :? . Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Did you run it correctly? There was a spot that didn't have much noise; perhaps you only did the second step (the running of noise reduction itself) on that one spot.

33 PL OK.

34 - Volume is too low; needs to come up about 6 dB. You will need to run compression on your file to squish the spikes enough to amplify.
Video on compression: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ3lOTDsN6c

My default settings are as follows:
Threshold: -17 dB
Noise Floor: -40 dB
Ratio: 3:1
Attack: 0.2
Decay: 1.0
NO checks in the check boxes

After compression, amplify by 6 dB.

I'll put you in for 35. :)

Well, it appears I was using Noise Reduction incorrectly all this time
Anyway, here's part 32 (8:26):

Part 34 (6:47):

Part 35 (9:12):
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/caxtons_35_bulwer-lytton_128kb.mp3
Could I claim part 36?
Also, I thought part 32 sounded a little funny, so let me know if I should record it again.

32, 34 PL OK

35 is too quiet. Needs compression and amplification (and possibly noise reduction after that).

There's a small program the spouse of a LibriVoxer developed to check the tech settings. If you're game, you can download it and use it to check the volume and other settings. It's here: https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/
The volume information is in the Information tab. We aim for 89 dB, but anything between about 86 and 92 is good. It also checks noise.

Hi,
I am sorry, but I will not be able to finish sections 6 and 7. I cannot do a German accent to save my life and I also have technical difficulties I have been unable to resolve.
