Thank you Rafe - this story always reminds me of a particular bit of coast in North Norfolk... Thank you for taking me back there for a bitrafeball wrote: ↑February 7th, 2021, 5:30 am Hi Rapunzelina,

A couple of PL notes for you
00:13 - the title and author should be said a second time after the librivox statement so...
"[Story title] by [Author name]. - This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org"
If you wish, say:
"Recording by [your name], [adding if you wish: location / date]"
Say:
"[Story title] by [Author name]."
05:24 - you've got an edit here that cuts straight in to your voice, cutting the start of the word off which sounds a bit jarring for the listener.
Let us know if you have any questions!

Hi there! Thank you for listening. I believe I've fixed the issues indicated. I did want to note that I didn't hear a cutoff at 5:24 but I did starting at 5:28, so that's the bit I've corrected. If I missed what you originally indicated, please let me know.alixsquish wrote: ↑February 12th, 2021, 2:27 amThank you Grant - your recordings are sounding great!grant007love wrote: ↑February 8th, 2021, 6:09 pm Hello again my fellow horror fans.

Thank you, Mike!
Here's the text in gutenberg.org http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/2149 (if a work is in gutenberg.org, it is the preferred text source)
I'll add it in the magic window for PL

Here's a story that I first heard about when reading Lovecraft's "Supernatural Horror in Literature". The idea piqued my interest but I think I couldn't find the piece. Now that I have, here is Cobb's "Fishhead".
Author: Irvin S. Cobb (1876-1944)
Title: Fishhead (duration 25:30)
Uploader URL https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/ghohor050_fishhead_cobb_pn81_128kb.mp3
Gutenberg link http://www.gutenberg.org/files/24799/24799-h/24799-h.htm#Page_244
That was a hard style to read but I also guess that in a right type of reader or listener it can evoke all sorts of mental images. Sadly, I'm not the right type for that, but I still liked the idea behind the piece.
