Thanks, Magda!
I just noticed that your bit rate is 320 kbps, and it needs to be 128 kbps. I'm not sure what that means for my editing it into my master file -- I'll have to check with our Tech experts.
Make sure you download Librivox's Checker 0.96, and check your settings before you submit your files.
You should be able to work with it just fine. It should import into Audacity just like any other audio file, and then as long as you export with the right settings, you'll be ok.
However, Magda, you definitely will want to correct this setting for future submissions, including any corrections that may be needed on these.
Aside from the bit rate, which I should be able to work with,
Stella is PL OK! Nice reading, Magda!
For Lucille, Ch3, I have two little insignificant notes (optional):
At 0:26, you left out the "me" in "and he asked
me my name and address—"
It makes sense and is fine as is, but it might make Gatsby sound a little more personable if "the great Gatsby" spoke to Lucille personally, rather than just inquiring as to who she is.
And you leave out the last one-word exclamation on page 18:
GIRL 1, LUCILLE, OWL EYES, MAN 2, WOMAN 1, WOMAN 2, WOMAN 3: ‘Ah-h-h!’
But there are enough people exclaiming, so only if you feel like it.
And as I suggested to Amelia (3 messages up), if you'd like to add some ad-lib background party comments and laughs, you could just plug them on the end of your Lucille file -- they don't have to make sense or fit together, but they should be 1920s vocabulary, so no modern slang
Thanks, Magda!
