Hi, Shobha!
Yes, you did an excellent job of including all the information I needed.
I have two PL Notes for you:
First,
Here is your personal Reader Page:
Shobha Anand.
You'll see that it lists all the projects you are a part of, both complete and in-progress. It also has a link to the lists of all the sections that are assigned to you for recording and/or prooflistening. Very handy!
Second,
This is a really great first recording! Checker tells us it needs just one edit for the noise
I am only familiar with the Audacity software. If you are using that, too, here is how to do Noise Reduction:
Fixing that is an easy edit, one that most of us do on all of our recordings.
- Open your recording file, and then:
- Zoom the track bigger so you can easily highlight the ending silence period. (Just click and drag your mouse across that stretch.)
- In the Effects Menu, select "Noise Reduction"
- Click on "Get Noise Profile"
- Click Control-A to highlight the entire track.
- Re-open the Noise Reduction effect and for now use these numbers:
Noise Reduction: 12
Sensitivity: 6
Frenquency smoothing: 3
[*]Click OK[/list]
Now you can export to mp3 just like before and upload the edited file the same way you did the first time. Don't forget to post here again with the link.
Very glad to have you in LibriVox!
