IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated). Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Sections 0 - 3 now ready. I'll be uploading each story as it's completed.
Larry, I welcome any advice/suggestions/critiques as I try this new type of reading for me. Hopefully the voices are distinct enough. I also am trying a new windscreen on my mic, which is resulting in my recording levels being quite low and I'm having to amplify them quite a bit in Audacity. If it's making the audio muddy or distorted, let me know. Thanks so much - and Happy New Year.

These are both PL OK.
Just one suggestion, however.
When you record the first part of the stories, you do include the author's name for that particular story, but not in the subsequent parts. I would suggest that you do. Otherwise it sounds as if the story is by French. I wonder even if might not be better to say "edited by . . . French" to make it clear that he is not the actual author.
I did ask Jo about this and she had suggested including the authors name in the intro of the first part and the outro of the last part of each story, which I think I now have done (I sent you a pm about correcting my outros). It does seem like I should say ‘selected’ or ‘edited’ by French, but I also ran that by Jo as this kind of format is all new to me.

Certainly there are different approaches to this, and so my suggestion is just that and you're fine with what you have. So, no worries.
