The Fundamentals Volume 2 by Various ( - ).

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-fundamentals-volume-2-by-sir-robert-anderson/
The Fundamentals: A Testimony To The Truth (generally referred to simply as The Fundamentals) is a set of ninety essays published between 1910 and 1915 by the Testimony Publishing Company of Chicago. According to its foreword, the publication was designed to be "a new statement of the fundamentals of Christianity." However, its contents reflect a concern with certain theological innovations related to liberal Christianity, especially biblical higher criticism. It is widely considered to be the foundation of modern Christian fundamentalism. The essays were written by sixty-four different authors, representing most of the major Protestant Christian denominations. It was mailed free of charge to ministers, missionaries, professors of theology, YMCA and YWCA secretaries, Sunday school superintendents, and other Protestant religious workers in the United States and other English-speaking countries. Over three million volumes (250,000 sets) were sent out. ( Wikipedia)

  1. How to claim a part, and "how it all works" here To find a section to record, simply look at point 5. below at the sections. All the ones without names beside them are "up for grabs." Click "Post reply" at the top left of the screen and tell us which section you would like to read (include the section number from the left-most column in the reader list, please). Read points 6. to 8. below for what to do before, during and after your recording.
    .
  2. New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!
    .
  3. Is there a deadline? We ask that you submit your recorded sections within 1-2 months of placing your claim. Please note that to be fair to the readers who have completed their sections in a timely way, if you haven't submitted your recording(s) after two months, your sections will automatically be re-opened for other readers to claim, unless you post in this thread to request an extension. Extensions will be granted at the discretion of the Book Coordinator. If you cannot do your section, for whatever reason, just let me know and it'll go back to the pool. There's no shame in this; we're all volunteers and things happen. Please do not sign up for more sections than you can complete within the two month deadline.

  4. Where do I find the text? Source text (please only read from this text!): https://archive.org/details/fundamentalstest17chic/page/n141/mode/2up

  5. Please claim sections (the numbers in the first column below)! If this is your first recording, please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal website/blog.

Prospective Prooflisteners: Please read the Listeners Wanted FAQ before listening! Level of prooflistening requested: standard

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I recorded volume 1 as a solo but it strikes me as a good candidate for a group project.
As with the first volume, can all the authors be added so that they are searchable? They are:
George Frederick Wright (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Frederick_Wright)
Melvin Grove Kyle (https://mla.bethelks.edu/mediawiki/index.php/Kyle,_Melvin_Grove_(1858-1933))
Franklin Johnson (http://photoarchive.lib.uchicago.edu/db.xqy?one=apf1-05265.xml)
Robert Anderson (https://librivox.org/author/13047)
Philip Mauro (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_Mauro)
Handley Carr Glyn Moule (https://librivox.org/author/15353)

I'll PL this.

I suppose it is bad form to request a section before the MW is up, but, if you will allow it, I'd like to read the last chapter (Section 7, I presume.)

ITD,
I'd be happy to MC this. I'll get your MW set up.

It has been assigned to you. It's quite an interesting complication. Please read p.126 as part of it, but not p.127 and don't forget to add the book ending. Thanks Kevin!

Tell me if you'd like me to add more of a pause between quotations.

Thanks MaryAnn. Sorry these semi-compilation ones are a hassle.
Before cataloguing, perhaps you could show me that clever trick you use which lets you link to volume 1 in the blurb of volume 2.

For the sake of completion in March (and because there is less interest in this volume than in volume 1), I will slowly record these myself (though people are welcome to jump in as ever) and try to get this finished before April.

Well, let me lighten the load a bit and record Section 5.
I've got quite a bit on my plate for March, but I'll do my best.
