Felix, Chapter 20:

00:16
"Isn't it nice that we're going to live a spell longer in this nice world?"

I can't hear the word "it".

Felix, Chapter 22:

00:14
"a menagerie had camped in the orchard and the rhinoceros chased Aunt Janet around and around the Pulpit Stone, but turned into an inoffensive pig when it was on the point of catching her."

"menagerie" is pronounced:
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/menagerie

and "rhinoceros":
https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/rhinoceros?q=rhinoceros+ (I hear plural in your recording)

Felix, Chapter 23:

00:01
"If we can't soon find out what makes Peter and the Story Girl dream like that, the rest of us might as well give up trying to write dream books,"

I can't hear the word "what".

Felix, Chapter 24:

You are missing some lines towards the end of the chapter. On page 9, please gasp and then shriek:

[THE STORY GIRL, BEV, FELIX, DAN, FELICITY, CECILY: GASP]
[PETER: GIVES A YELP OF PURE TERROR]
[ALL: SHRIEK AS THEN RUN AWAY]

On page 10, please add the line:
"Oh, God, please make Pat better by the morning. PLEASE do."

On page 11, please add the line:
"I wish I knew whether it was the praying or Peg Bowen that cured Pat,"

Felix, Chapter 26:

00:01
"Why, who ever heard of a sermon without a text?"

I can't hear "of".

1:35
But when Peter preaches just such a sermon, it's a very different story."

I can't hear "such".

2:03
Cecily was just as scared as Sara Ray, but she'd more sense than to show it like that."

We've all been pronouncing "Cecily" with a short "e" (sess) and I couldn't hear the word "than", but I did hear two other unclear sounds.

2:22
"Felicity makes enough faces when there's nothing to make faces at,"

We've all be pronouncing the second syllable in "Felicity" with a short "i" (like "lip") -- yours sounded like a long "e" (like "lee").

Felix, Chapter 27:

2:00
Could I ask you please to change the intonation of this sentence for clarity? There should be a pause between "was" and "the":
"The more religious anything was [pause] the more fighting there was about it."

Felix, Chapter 25 is PL OK!

Thanks, Elijah!

0:15 word change – One warm Sunday evening in the moon of goldenrod, we all, grown-ups and children, were sitting in the orchard by the Pulpit Stone…

For my ear, 4:23-4:32 seemed a little too loud and I found it difficult to understand the words from 4:33-5:32. Sometimes the laughter seems much louder than the words and I had to listen a couple of times before I could confirm them.

Thanks, Linny! I'll give it a listen.

Meanwhile here's another chapter (almost - except for Felix's mispronunciation of "Cecily" at 11:16) ready for PL. You can go ahead and please PL, and I'll just edit that in when Elijah uploads his correction.

Chapter 15:

Story Girl Chapter 12 is PL OK!

Now we just need those two little words from Chapter 8, and I believe we'll have everything:

1:38 Missing Line:
"Bury it," (p. 6)

Thanks, Cadastra!

Hi Linny,

I made the word change correction at 0:15, and I reduced the background laughter by 5 dB, and in some places more. Please let me know how it sounds:

linny wrote: December 19th, 2020, 10:15 am Chapter 1 is PL OK. Narration is wonderful.
Thank you soooo much! *blush*
linny wrote: December 19th, 2020, 10:15 am Intro doesn't exactly match the first post but all the requirements are there.
lol! I don't know how that happened. I think I recorded it before we got the first page set up -- I had some trouble since I used the wrong template, so Tricia and I were making changes and corrections the whole first week. I think I'll just leave it as is, though. It sounds good.
linny wrote: December 19th, 2020, 10:15 am Note - only because you wanted editing feedback.
9:52 – If I were editing I would likely have tightened this by 0.5 seconds.
I tightened this.

linny wrote: December 19th, 2020, 10:40 am Chapter 2

0:03 word change – Chapter 2 of The Story Girl.
Corrected this.
linny wrote: December 19th, 2020, 10:40 am 10:31 “What is Uncle Roger like?” is duplicated by both Narrator and Felix.
I decided to just use Felix's version (rather than to try to have us both say it).

Chapters 1 and 2 are both spot check PL OK.

Note: You are still uploading files as 'draft'.

(yes, I know about the "draft" -- either I'll change them all at the end or Tricia will. Thanks.)

OK, just remember that everything you upload after a PL OK needs to be spot checked.
