The First Librivox Poetry Slam was a winner!
Lots of fun for all involved.

We went for Quality, not Quantity for the audience and readers: Algy Pug, Pete, Michele Fry, Mary5, and others, including me. I played the part of a stumbling, hapless co-host. Michele was the real host and should continue as the main host for the indefinite future.

We all had a great time! In this "episode" we were supposed to recite our own poems. In the future we might ask people to recite their favorites from the world of poetry.

I think there will be another "poetry slam" in one month. Stay tuned!

No, it wasn't. We would have had to discuss it first, and it didn't occur to Bill, or to me. Remind someone before the next Poetry Slam, please. There were some memorable moments!!!

Are there any plans for a Zoom get together now that everyone has eaten holiday leftovers, taken down decorations, returned gifts, and bought holiday decorations for 2021?

I think/hope that Michele has a zoom topic in mind.
Let's ask her:

Hello, Happy Holidays to everybody. Can't believe it's already the 4th. Yes, Phil says he's interested in hosting another session in the next week or two, and I've been working on another tutorial, with expert advisors, on how to safely add Wiki Links to our projects. I think we'll do something together. So stay tuned.

One of my LV new year's resolution is to do a teaching session on a Zoom meeting, maybe about resources for pronunciation. I'm not ready to schedule it yet, but Zoom call organizers, feel free to poke me with a stick every so often and see if I'm there yet. Michele I may need one of your offered sessions to show me how to share screens etc.

Sure, I'll PM you for a convenient time and we can Zoom privately. Afternoons are best for me.

After saying hi and hello, we will have an informative session on how to add a link to our recordings in Wiki. Most of the recordings you and I do are by authors who have Wiki entries. The people who are interested in these people would probably not know there is a recording of some of their works unless we tell them by putting a link into the Wiki. Unfortunately, the Wiki is very careful to keep spam links out of their articles so it must be done a certain way to make it stick. Michele Fry will demonstrate a method she assures me is fool proof. ~20 minutes

I would like to discuss the books that have become available in this past year for us to record; that have entered the public domain. Anyone with knowledge of this, or better yet, a list, would be most welcome. Who knows? there might be something you love just waiting for you!.

The title of my tutorial will be:

"Creating Wikipedia Links", a demonstration of how to create a link to a Librivox project on a Wikipedia page that meets Wikipedia's criteria. It will take up to 30 minutes.

Wikipedia, you mean? "Wiki" can refer to our LV wiki, for example. :)
School fiction: David Blaize
Exploration: The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart
Humor: My Lady Nicotine

Guh. I made a list at some point but I don't know what I did with it. I'll see if I can reconstitute it by next Sunday!

I really HOPE to be there. I w-r-e-s-t-l-e-d with Wikipedia editors to get an author added!!! I'm looking forward to picking your brain Michele to get more recordings linked. And I'd love to hear what people say about the upcoming books. But my birthday is Sunday and my family is planning...

There is boiler plate language that needs to be added and very strict rules to follow. I'll remind Phil to record both video and audio, and if that succeeds you'll get the info anyway. Have a great birthday.
