I know I can get done the tale of Ulysses and the Cyclops by the end of this weekend, yet I'm afraid the section it would occupy will already be taken. Is there a way I can ensure that the work I'll do on this story has a spot in this collection?

Regarding making sure your second story won't miss getting a section:

It would be really strange if all of the remaining sections fill up before this weekend. Even if they do, though, I will open Collection 7 as soon as the last section here gets a story loaded. This is a popular collection with readers, so I make sure we always have one running. Linny and a couple other MCs like overseeing them, too, so we never have to wait long for someone to activate the new collection's MW for us.

So - no worries! Even if we have an unusual super-run on this collection's sections, your story will absolutely get a spot.

Yes! This is a very nice addition to the collection!

You're a natural, Nathan. Love your voices, and this recording is very fine.

The only edit needed is to bring the volume down a bit into the decibel parameters LibriVox has to use. Right not it comes in at 93.8 dB. It's an easy fix.

I'm only familiar with the Audacity software. If that's what you're using, here's how to fix the decibels:

Open the recording
Click Control-A to select the entire track
From the Effects drop-down menu, select Amplify
Type -1.5 in the top box (ignore everything else)
Click OK

Now you can re-export the file to mp3 and upload the new file the same way you did the first time. Don't forget to post again.

Hello! I've recorded and am editing my recording, but I'm not confident that I introduced and closed it correctly. The story is "The Mysterious Servant: The Story of a Young Man Who Respected the Dead," and it's from "A Book of Finnish Fairy Tales and Folk Tails" by Parker Fillmore. I think I introduced it correctly after listening to a few examples of other recordings. At the end, though, should I say "End of The Mysterious Servant: The Story of a Young Man Who Respected the Dead by Parker Fillmore," or should I repeat the title of the larger work? I appreciate the guidance!

Hi, Maddie - ending with only the name of the story itself is absolutely fine. You won't need to include the source book's title.
