The Airship Boys in the Great War by De Lysle F. Cass (1887 - 1973).

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-airship-boys-in-the-great-war-by-de-lysle-ferree-cass/

Volunteers outside the USA: De Lysle Cass died in 1973. His/Her work is still protected by copyright in places, like Europe, where copyright is author's death plus 70 years, Australia (author's death plus 70 years for authors who died after 1954) or Canada (author's death plus 50 years).

Little did Alan, Ned and Buck suspect what they were getting themselves in for when they approached the editor of The Herald with their plan to re-employ the Ocean Flyer, flying it back across the Atlantic Ocean to rescue their friend and the newspaper’s reporter, Bob Russell, from the clutches of the German military, who had taken him prisoner, accused him of spying, and, possibly, might condemn him to face a firing squad in the early days of “The Great War” in Europe during 1914. All they knew was they had to do something to help Bob and, hopefully, Mr. Latimer, managing editor of The Herald, would help. ( Tom Hirsch)

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Thanks, MaryAnn :D

That reminds me that I need to get to work setting up my entries into the MW.

Here's hoping one of my trusty DPLs of the past will jump on board.

Greetings -

Chapter 1:

We are off to a good start with Chapter 1 which was free of any technical problems and read very well. Definitely PL OK.

This sounds like it is going to be a fun book to listen to.
