Here is section 37.

Section 37:

(Running Time 2:42)

Thank you.
A great reading, Paul. PL-OK

Interestingly, I once worked here in Sydney with a bloke from upstate New York who had the exact same pronunciation of "pleasure" as you do, sounding to my ears like "play-sure". Similarly he pronounced "measure" as "may-sure". Is this a New York State accent, or more a multi-state regional accent?

Cheers,
Chris

At 0:30, I hear "The sea is a Sultana impervious and fair", rather than "imperious and fair".
While the meaning is different, it still makes poetic sense as a sentence with the substitution, so this can be an optional change, only if you feel you wish to. I'll mark this as PL-OK at this time.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,

It seems to be northern Minnesota, and parts of Arkansas and Kansas that I have noticed. I'm sure there are other areas, but this is often the way I hear it pronounced. Funny how words can be different not only in other countries, but also even in different parts of the U.S.

Take care
Paul

Hi Anthony.

The reading itself is fine, but you have exported the MP3 with bit rate as 107 kbps and variable, we need it to be 128 kbps and constant. Also your volume is a little high at 92.4

If you could please re-export it with the correct technical settings, adjust the volume as outlined below, and re-upload.

A good practice is to install the Checker app on your computer. It is used to check the technical settings of your recordings, including the volume. It can be found here, along with instructions for use... https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker Its three general outcomes are "PASS", "FAIL", and "PASSED WITH WARNINGS". A "FAIL" probably means the tech settings are wrong. A "PASSED WITH WARNINGS" probably means the recording is either too loud or too soft ... when this is the case, the MP3 can be easily fixed using the MP3GAIN app, which you should also install on your computer. It can be found here... https://mp3gain.en.softonic.com/ Set the Target Normal Volume to 89.0, run a Track Analysis, then if it's not 89, run a Track Gain, and it will adjust your MP3 file to approx 89. Very quick and easy. Now run the adjusted MP3 file through the Checker app again, and the “PASSED WITH WARNINGS” message should be replaced by a “PASS” message.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. :)

Cheers,
Chris

Chris, since you are the DPL here and cannot PL your own recording, I just listened to your Muses of Australia and it's perfectly PL ok. Excellent reading and the poem itself is wonderful. I love the description of the different Australian parts through the use of the Muses.

Thanks
