Hey There!

This would be my first Librivox recordings so please feel free to tell me if any of my posts or recordings seem out of key.

I would love to record from The Junior Classics, Volume 3: Tales from Greece and Rome by William Patten:

[*]Old Greek Tales: Turning Everything Into Gold by Nathaniel Hawthorne p. 172-193
[*]The Homeward Voyage of the Greek Hero Ulysses - By Homer: Ulysses and the Cyclops by Sir George W. Cox p. 305-315

Thank you for your time,
Nathan :D

Hi, Nathan! Welcome to the Myths and Legends short story corner of LibriVox - happy to have you. :)

If you hadn't noticed already, on this collection project, you won't see a section reserved for you. That's because we roll these over consistently, so recordings are loaded in as they arrive.

I have noted on the sources sheet that your two stories are being worked on, so folks can see they're in progress. If, for some strange reason, collection 6 fills in before your recordings are ready, just jump in on collection 7. ;D

I've found a couple of stories about giants by Lanier. They sound rather Biblical but have been embellished a bit, I think. I'd like to offer them for this collection but am unsure how you would like them presented. They're back to back chapters in his book, chaps 8 and 9, but they cover two different giants. Do you want them together or separate? Here's the link:
https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/48763
It's something like page 102-116. I have the first one almost ready to upload. I can probably have the other one ready by tomorrow.
What do you think?

Hi, Daryl - That's a great source.

Go ahead and submit these as separate stories. Annie's two chapters were combined only because the children's book had divided one story across two chapters :)

Hey, I'm thinking: Why don't we go ahead and combine these, since it's the same story, and the files are so short. Do you mind doing that? I did pull up the book, and it looks like the only reason it was divided was to keep the chapters super short for young readers.
I'm glad, I think it sounds better continuing on to the end, especially given where they put the chapter break! (and now I can find a second story to add to this collection!)

All the same details as before, except the time is now 17:54

Thank you, Daryl! Your recording is loaded into the MW and queued for PL. Thank you for including all the information we needed for that and to create your Reader Page.

If I can't proof it this afternoon, it'll get done first thing tomorrow morning. :)

Here is your personal Catalog Page: Daryl Hanson. You'll see that it will list every project that you're a part of, both in-progress and complete. It also has a Reader Sections Detail link to lists of all the sections that are assigned to you for either recording or proof listening. Pretty handy!

Hi, Linda! Yes, this is a great tale. Your recording is fabulous.

The only thing that needs to be edited is the file name - the capitals in it need to be lower case.

Thanks Lynette! It was super fun to read! Such a fairytale, but with a real life ending.

I'm happy to edit the file name and resubmit, if you need.

all the best,
Linda
