Gill;
Section 37. I found your repeat. There were a couple of other bits that I'd have left alone otherwise, but you might like to change them.

0301 Sometimes I buy a happorth of nuts ... pronounced HAY-porth (HAY-p'th) colloquially

1008-1014 he said, with a shrug of the shoulders, in answer to my inquiry as to what the dogs did .... Narrator spoken with slight Italian accent?

1952 I learn all their tunes by heart. Repeat

Thanks Peter.

(Btw for later reference and to avoid any confusion at that time - this was Section 36. I haven't finished or therefore uploaded Section37 yet.)

Edited Section 36 (37:17)

I didn't change 1008 - 1014. That's my 'normal' voice! (Maybe I've been 'doing the accent' too long.)
I deliberately didn't make this guy's accent too pronounced because he'd been brought up in the UK. Unfortunately, because of some phrasing etc. I felt it did have to have some amount of accent.

Section 36 (not 37!) PL okay.

I'm glad that I didn't have to attempt the Italian accent.

:P  I know it must be all wrong but I didn't have time to research the proper pronunciation for it all!

Thanks. Peter.

Gill, just minor corrections, possibly, for section 38.

At 10.23, 10.26 there are slight thumps (I'd have left them, but if you're going in for the next correction, you could have a look at them.

26.19 ... we generally do a sympathy, as we calls it (a symphony, you know). I hear "symphony" instead of "sympathy"

I couldn't hear the thumps but I reduced some things so hopefully it's okay now.

Section 38 PL okay.

You can still see traces of those thumps if you switch to the logarithmic "dB" display in Audacity, but they're clear to the ear.

Section 40 PL okay.

I don't think I'll get my portrait taken ... let alone have my hair darkened with silver nitrate ... followed by cyanide to remove the skin staining!

A lovely malapropism there, too: Indeed, next Sunday, he _do_ talk of taking them for threepence-ha’penny, and if that ain’t philandery, what is?

Thanks.
It's brilliant, isn't it? I have to edit out several chuckles when I go through some of these sections.

And let's use mercury to make hats. More recently leaded paint, asbestos....

He's so right about people almost asking to be swindled. Now, where can I get some of those American Air Preservers?
