OK, so I figured if I'm going to advise people on how to use Audacity, I should use the latest Audacity. So I installed it.

Q: Does it no longer show a microphone slider to adjust your mic recording level? I'm not talking about the gain +/- slider on the left side of a track, but a slider in the toolbar.

I can't find a place to show one, so I'm wondering if it's gone and that you have to go into your OS/Windows device control panel to adjust your recording level. :?

I have version 2.4.2 and the microphone and speaker sliders show as usual. They are the "mixer toolbar".

Hmm. I toggle the Mixer Toolbar on and off, and nothing happens either way. I still don't see it. :hmm:

Well, at least I know that on others' Audacity windows, they can still see the mic slider. Thanks!

EDIT: I reset toolbars, and now I see it.
