The Invisible Man by H. G. Wells (1866 - 1946).

This project is now in our catalog at https://librivox.org/the-invisible-man-by-h-g-wells/
A mysterious, banadged stranger arrives in the small English village of Iping - and chaos follows close behind. H.G. Wells' classic story of obsession, murder, and science run amok. (Summary by Andrew Gaunce)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/5230
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I know we've already got two quite excellent versions of this in the catalogue, but in the interest of "choice of voice" I'd love to add my own take. I've been a bit apprehensive about kicking off my first solo, so figured it would be best to start with a lifelong favourite before tacking something less familiar.

Excited to get started - let me know if I missed anything! Thanks :)

Wonderful - thanks Phil!

I've already got a start on recording, but haven't had a chance to edit yet...first few chapters should be up by the 27th or so.
