It's been a while so I will start with one to make sure everything works smoothly. Could I have section 14 please? You can use my full name for the recording.

Absolutely! Welcome back! Normally, I would suggest, after such a long period of absence, that you do a new 1-minute test to make sure everything's in working order. But, as you point out, this is a very short section, so if you'd prefer to just go for it, we can treat this section as your welcome-back test. :D

EDIT:

Hmm, actually, I was wrong. Now that I'm looking at it, this is actually one of the longest sections in the book! Since that is the case, I do think it would be best to just do a quick test first: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test Let me know when you've posted it, and I will check it for you myself. There is also some confusion around this section, I think. (See my post below.) Please hold off until we've ironed that out.

By the way, your catalogue name is currently listed as mharrison, the same as your forum name: https://librivox.org/reader/7019 You say that you'd prefer to use your full name, but I'll need to know what it is in order to enter it.

:hmm: I think there is a bit of confusion about section 14. Lynda (lmnei) asked me about the footnotes for that section awhile back, and we had a talk about how to handle them, since there are so many, and they're so long. But she didn't request section 14 (or at least, I can't find that request), and when asking about the footnotes, she said section 12. I was only able to find the passage in question because she included a page number. Lynda, are you working on section 14? Because I didn't have it assigned to you, and now someone else has asked for it. Please let me know so that we don't accidentally have anyone duplicating each other's work!

OOPS! Yes, I do have it recorded - I thought I had asked for it and I was reviewing the sections that I had signed up for thus is why I was asking how to record it. If the other person has already recorded it that is fine. I am flexible.

I don't think he has recorded it yet.

Ok, so as you can see, this section has already been recorded, even though the MW was showing as open. I'm sorry that your return to LV after so long has been so confusing so far! :? Are you alright with doing a different section instead? Sections 16-24 are all still unclaimed, if one of those is to your liking.

ROFL. If this is the worst it gets I am doing brilliantly. Sure I will grab section 16 then, though since even this section is a bit of a size I will do a test record to make sure everything is working before spending too much time on it. My full name is Michael Harrison. I will update my profile too as it seems a wee bit dusty.

Thanks so much for your flexibility and understanding! Here is your updated catalogue page, with your full name: https://librivox.org/reader/7019 We also have a gmail email account for you in the system. Is that accurate, or do you wish to use the one in your signature line?

Let me know when you've posted your test, and I will check it myself, if I can.

Hello!

Here are my contributions. I'll be happy to fix anything needed, including pronunciation mistakes. :)

Edit: BTW, I don't think you mentioned it anywhere, but I used Ecclesiastical pronunciation for the Latin bits, since it seemed more appropriate

Thank you!

And, to everyone: I realize that I've fallen behind on PLing for this project, but never fear. I'm looking at a solid week off for the holidays, so I'll definitely get it all caught up.

I do knit, but lately have been working on a sewing project (which is what has kept me away from LV on my time off  ). But I finished tonight! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ltt36i9eKl5E1Jv5Jqzjp4jBNHmeKUKh/view?usp=sharing I made these little drawstring pouches for an advent calendar puzzle! Each pouch contains a little "mini-puzzle," or chunk of the larger puzzle. Do one section per day, and then on Christmas, you have a completed puzzle! :9: I hope to make a few more sets of these over the course of the year to hand out to people next year.

Ahem, uh, anyway, enough about me... These are in the MW, and it's early enough that I should be able to start in on some tonight!
